Interested in Being a Research Assistant?

Working in a lab can help you gain important research, quantitative, analytical, and interpersonal skills, all of which are essential if you plan to pursue a PhD in Psychology. 

Carnegie Mellon University students can earn course credit for working in our lab. To join, you must:

  • Have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.3 to be considered​

  • Be able to work nine hours per week, which includes lab work and attendance at a weekly lab meeting​

  • Commit to working at least two semesters in the lab
